Give Time

YMCAs are among the nation's leading volunteer organizations. A Y volunteer becomes part of a not-for-profit organization dedicated to building strong kids, strong families and strong communities through programs that develop spirit, mind and body.  At the McCormick Tribune YMCA, a volunteer's time and talent can go a long way to help a child, mentor a teen or provide support for families.

Examples of volunteer opportunities include:

  • Mentor or tutor a child
  • Teach computer skills
  • Coordinate a group project
  • Assist or referee a youth sports game
  • Assist with the maintenance/landscaping
  • Serve as a special event committee member
  • Serve as an administrative or clerical assistant
You can pick up a volunteer application at our Membership Services Desk.
